Dirt Works
Dirt Works has been working in association with the Simpson Desert Bike Challenge since 2009.
Dirt Works was founded in 1994 by Wayne Chapman & Richard Powell with the purpose of providing Australian bicycle dealers with a higher level of technical product knowledge and back-up product support for the emerging area of bicycle suspension and suspension upgrades.
Now it's 2011. Disc brakes, long-travel suspension, 29ers and carbon fibre are in the mainstream, and we've seen other major trends come and go. Richard and Wayne still answer sales calls, but Dirt Works now has warehouse, phone sales, accounting, technical and wheelbuilding staff, who all ride bikes and love what they do.
17 years and 6 warehouses after we began, Dirt Works Australia continues to offer the racer, enthusiast, commuter and casual rider an unmatched range of touring, BMX, road and mountain bike equipment.

Melrose is situated 3 hours north of Adelaide in a town of 200. There is over 100 km of mountain bike trails! We have arguably some of the best singletrack in the country as reported in the major mountain bike magazines, and there is more trail being laid down every year. Ergon

Squirt
Squirt is a wax based, long lasting dry lube for use on bicycle chains. Developed in South Africa, this liquid lubricant has unique properties that make it ideal for use in all cycling conditions. It had been developed to give better lubrication, last longer and keep the chain cleaner over extreme distances for both MTB and road cycling. And, the big bonus - do degreasing is ever required.
Squirt Physical properties:
- This lubricant is not flammable.
- It has an off white colour with a very mild odour.
- Store between 5°C and 35°C.
- Thermal decomposition will only take place at approx.100°C.
- On skin contact, remove with warm water and soap. (Not readily absorbed through the skin)
- 100% biodegradable
